What makes Mbombela United FC a "community' team?

Mbombela united is a community club that has aimed at flying high the flag of the Mbombela community by putting Nelspruit on the soccer map. Though it haven't reached the National First Division, Mbombela United have proved to be a strong team that has accumulated the hearts of soccer hungry Mbombela community residence. Such support has not only been gathered through winning matches but by setting up a lot of structures aimed at concertizing the community about the role they have to play for the development of soccer. The team's main aim is “to successfully represent the city and the Province in the elite national professional football league and international arena. Its leaders together with the management team have tasked themselves to be a source of civic pride for Mbombela So as to enhance the image and increase both the national and international awareness of the "City". So much has been done and is still being done to build the team into a name that everyone will be proud of.

 

COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE
Having such a task at hand, the team owners, both on their individual capacity and as a team have involved themselves in a lot of community development and support projects aimed at bettering the lives of other people. This has continuously been done both officially and unofficially but with the main aim of bringing a positive change in the lives of the less privileged.
Besides sending its players to various academic and tertiary institutions, the team also distributes food parcels to various communities each and every festive season. Over theyears, the club and its owners have always been assisting other young and upcoming clubs with soccer kits, coaching clinics as well as running soccer tournaments meant to give an opportunity to budding soccer stars to show case their talents. Such is also the characteristics of other companies and organisations owned by the Matsebula Brothers, such as Busco and KaMkholo trust who have multiple programs likes The Siyaphila Old Age Centre,ECD (Early Childhood Development Project, Feeding Projects, Disabled Bus Tickets Clinic Facilities, Christmas Hamper Project, Financial Assistance, Sponsorships etc.

 

ASSISTING SUPPORTERS
Inasmuch as Mbombela United is the communitys' team, there is no fulfillment of its ambition for as long as the team plays without its loyal supporters. The management has gone all out in trying to take each and every supporter to the match venues free of charge. Buses are always there to fetch people right at their respective bus stops to the stadium nomatter how far the team will be playing that particular day.

 

PLAYERS SUSTAINANCE
Mbombela united players are given all the adequate financial and sporting support. Such has been done so that they have a reason for being in the team. Players' welfare is one of the management's top priorities. Some are absorbed into the teams partnering organizations while those who are still willing to pursue their academic and tertiary careers are given full assistance to do so. Through such practices, every player feels at home and has a reason to win and belonging to the team.
